CastNow Browser for Chromecast App Reviews

I bought this app because I wanted to cast videos from the web to my chrome cast and nothing else worked until I got this app. Its great and works perfect for what I need it for.

The browser itself is slow and buggy. It takes a long time just to get to the page you want to cast. Then, it often has trouble detecting the Chromecast, meaning you may have to reboot the Chromecast or reconnect to wifi in order to enable the connection. Then, the browser app likes to default to Google and jump down so that you cant type in the address bar. It also offers a delayed response to most screen taps, so if you tap twice, expect it to think youre clicking something unexpected. But when you finally convince it to go to a site and cast, its ok.

If your planning to cast porn on your big screen TV like I was it wont work.Plus the browser was very buggy.

Casts with few issues. Slight problems pausing & fast forwarding, but gets the job done!

It does what its supposed to do, however constantly throwing ads at you when you try to use the app gets a bit annoying. For an app you pay for youd think theyd at least give you less ads if any at all. Also it would seem just leaving the page of a video you are watching takes away your ability to pause, stop, or rewind the video. Overall it does what its advertised to do even if not well. It is the only thing Ive found to stream videos from an iOS device to a Chromecast so I really have no choice in using it. However i do hope these problems are fixed soon.

The app does cast to your chrome cast, but the video has an extremely long load time, as well as it only playing for a few seconds before it loads again. Think of it as that long buffering moment. Everyone hates that.

This works awesome for my iPhone 5 since apple isnt super compatible with chrome cast. I needed to cast shows from other sites besides Hulu and Netflix. It really works and saved my Christmas morning.

It is one of my favorite apps but it needs support from more websites. There are times I spend hours trying to find a video from a different server because it will not be compatible with Cast. Fix it and this app will be a-must-have for every Chromecast owner.

Fix it now, give me piss off. Im trying watch my show here. Give my money back now.

Very Disappointed. I will try to get my $ back. The browser interface works fine but it will not save passwords needed before streaming videos on certain sites.

All, I really needed a way to utilize the chrome cast in a way to play videos from different websites via Safari onto my TV. I found this app this is the only one out that I could find and it had sub optimal reviews. So I wanted to actually leave an authentic review on this app and I do want to say that it does work great its worth the dollar. The only thing I could wish for is faster browser speeds.

I cant live stream in chrome through this app. I feel they should be able to provide playbar which would be a helpful to change while casting the videos. It works fine and great. But still theres a need for few upgrades.

Just kept playing ads and wouldnt cast video.

The chromecast bar wont work

By far the best option since google chrome does not work to chrome cast on iOS.

Well the other reviewers had me scared to death but I finally parted with my $.99. Whats all the complaining about. I have an iPad Air and a good internet connection (Uverse with consistent 11.30 Mbps) and I was surprised. Browser speed was decent and I am able to Cast some videos that other apps couldnt. Some suggestions to those having trouble. Use the A/C power for your Chromecast (not the USB) and download a Speedtest to check your wifi speed. Good chance your problem is not with the app. This applies to most apps. Not just this one.
